Test of Honour
"The Emperor is weak, and the might of the Shogun falters.
The clan lords take advantage of the turmoil to settle old grudges and seize new territory, while zealous warrior monks lead the downtrodden peasant class into rebellion.
Loyal samurai, consummate warriors trained in the art of the blade, must do their masters' bidding without question, walking a fine line between duty and dishonour.."

How to Get Into the Action
If a friend already has a rulebook and you want to get into the game, you should be able to skip the starter box and go straight for the nation boxes.
Start Here
The Gaming Set comes with the rulebook, game-specific dice, and other components you'll need. It also comes with one hero samurai miniature, but of course you'll need more to build out your force.
The minis do require assembly (and painting if you so choose). A crafting mat will also go a long way to saving your dinning room table from mishaps while assembling your collection!
You'll also need a tape measure for this one!
Expansions
You will need to get at least an additional box of units after getting the initial Gaming Set. These can be more samurai, ninjas, warrior monks, whatever flavor you're feeling!
Extras
A nice green field mat will work quite well for a battle mat. I prefer neoprene (like mousepad material), but cloth can be more budget-friendly. For size, whatever fits the space you have available. Many games may have a predetermined size though, sometimes 3'x3' or 3'x6'. The link below is similar to what I use.
Highly recommend a laser line to check line-of-sight. Google "army painter laser line"; can be hard to find on Amazon, but eBay is a good source for them.
An extra set of the game's custom dice may also help speed up playtime by not having to constantly share with your opponent.

Just getting into this game, will post list building solutions once I find one!
