Achtung Panzer!
"The Second World War saw the rise of armoured fighting vehicles, in particular the tank, from experimental designs based on unfounded theories to fully developed war machines capable of incredible destruction. Wherever nations clashed, tanks could be found, often having a pivotal impact on the outcome of battles and campaigns.
Achtung Panzer! puts YOU in command of a tank platoon and thrusts you into the heart of the action on the battlefields of World War Two. Take charge, and lead your armoured forces to glory!"

How to Get Into the Action
If a friend already has the rulebook / starter box and you want to get into the game, you may be able to skip the starter box and go straight for the nation boxes.
Below are some affiliate links for things I myself have purchased and tried out. See you on the field!
Start Here
The Starter Box is usually a good way to explore a new game, and for this one, it's no exception. It comes with a basic rulebook, and a few tanks to kick off your British and German tank platoons. These do require assembly (and painting if you so choose). A crafting mat will also go a long way to saving your dinning room table from mishaps while assembling your collection!
Expansions
Expand upon your tank collection with nation boxes of your preferred country. These will come with a number of tanks to give you plenty of options in the battlefield!
Extras
Terrain and a nice game mat will really help this game pop on your tabletop! Not long ago I discovered Micro Art Studio's pre-painted terrain and I absolutely fell in love with it. Below is a link to one building, but there are a ton of other options to create a nice town or country side (assembly required though!)
As far as battle mats go, get whatever feels appropriate for the game you are playing. I've found a generic grassy field works for a majority of my games. I also prefer neoprene (like mousepad material), but cloth can be more budget-friendly. For size, whatever fits the space you have available. Many games may have a predetermined size though, sometimes 3'x3' or 3'x6'. The link below is similar to what I use.
For a bit of added flair, you could use dice themed to your tank platoon's nation.
Storage / Transport
The Jucoci has the slotted sides for height-adjusting your trays as needed and if you magnetize the tanks, works great with keeping them stable during transport. The Iris bins are more budget friendly and stackable, though I've found I have to take the turrets off most of the tanks as the trays are just barely not tall enough with them on.
Painting
After assembly, recommend priming your tanks in Army Painter's Uniform Grey (German), Skeleton Bone (British), or Army Green (US). That should suffice if you're looking to get this on the table in a hurry.
Army Building
Will post list building options once I find a solid solution. I'm a sucker for a Sherman so, I usually build off of that. Go with what speaks to you!
