Descent: Legends of the Dark

"Terrinoth is in peril. The demon-tainted Uthuk Y’llan barbarians stalk the realm and the undead servants of Waiqar the Undying venture beyond their borders for the first time in memory. And in the northern barony of Forthyn, the stage is set for the next great confrontation between Terrinoth and the forces of darkness..."

How to Get Into the Action

If you have a friend that already has the game, they have have everything you'd need! If you're looking to GM a session, or just want to explore the lore of the Terenoth universe, read on!

Below are some affiliate links for things I myself have purchased and tried out. Adventure on!

Start Here

The Act I box is where you'll start your collection, and is large enough to house all the minis and terrain. It is app-driven, so while all players will be on the same side, you'll need to install and run the app, which will narrate and run the campaign, and also keep track of your party's inventory.

Expansions

After you complete the first act, this one is the follow up. New models of the heroes from the previous game, as well as some new baddies to give them grief!

Extras

This one is totally option, but I find the game mat adds a nice flair to the game, and also serves as grippy surface so your terrain won't go sliding across the table as the quest progresses. Last, while the game comes with cardboard 3D terrain, if you're looking for a sturdier option, there are many 3rd party options available. Here's the set I went with.

Storage / Transport

I've found that the boxes the game comes in are plenty large enough to store the terrain, minis, and components!

Painting

Had the hero minis commission painted, the monsters I'll probably do myself at some point.

Army Building

The game handles inventory and the like for you; just pick your character(s) and you're all set!
