Alien RPG

"Space is vast, dark, and not your friend.

Gamma rays and neutrino bursts erupt from dying stars to cook you alive, black holes tear you apart, and the void itself boils your blood and seizes your brain. Try to scream and no one can hear you – hold your breath and you rupture your lungs.

Space isn’t as empty as you’d think, either – its frontiers are ever expanding. Rival governments wage a cold war of aggression while greedy corporations vie for valuable resources. Colonists reach for the stars and gamble with their lives – each new world tamed is either feast or famine. And there are things lurking in the shadows of every asteroid – things strange and different and deadly. Things alien.

This is the official ALIEN tabletop roleplaying game – a universe of body horror and corporate brinkmanship, where synthetic people play god while space truckers and marines serve host to newborn ghoulish creatures. It’s a harsh and unforgiving universe and you are nothing if not expendable.

Stay alive if you can."

How to Get Into the Action

If you have a friend that already places, they have have everything you need to get into the game! If you're looking to GM a session, or just want to explore the lore of the Alien universe, read on!

Below are some affiliate links for things I myself have purchased and tried out. Don't stress yourself out!

Note: Free League has mentioned a new edition of the game should be coming out soon, so you may wish to wait until it releases first!

Start Here

The Starter Box is usually a good way to explore a new game, and for this one, it's no exception. It comes with a basic rulebook, but if you're wanting the full-blown rules (and the lore), grab the Core Rulebook. The GM screen is a nice addition if you'll be running the campaign for your group.

Expansions

Expand upon your campaign and lore repotriere with these source books. Good to grab after running through the starter box.

Extras

You don't need to purchase extra dice. The starter box comes with enough to play the game. But, you'll need to pass these around / share them among other players, so having an extra set of each will help speed the game up. Also, for storage, I simply keep the components in the Starter and Heart of Darkness boxes.

Storage / Transport

Currently finding that the start box acts as a great way to store the dice, character sheets, maps, etc that are included in the game!

Painting

No minis come with this game to paint up, but you could always incorporate some, and terrain to help bring your setting to life!

Army Building

No army building here; party creation handled by character sheets and your GM!
