Going On An Adventure

I myself had been a fan of Tolkien's chronicles of Bilbo and Frodo's adventures since I was in grade school. My admiration for this high-fantasy world was rekindled, as I'm sure is true for many, with the release of Peter Jackson's films in the early 2000s, and again in the 2010s. All the while, I had been harboring a growing interest to delve into the tabletop wargaming, and have seen many, many different titles enter and exit my collection over the years. I finally dove in and bought the Battle of Osgiliath boxset in 2023, after seeing many-a YouTube video of battle reports and how-to-play intros.

Perhaps going a tad overboard, I quickly expanded my collection with some of the BattleHost boxes, including Rohan and Minas Tirith, as well as the armies of the Iron Hills Dwarves, Halls of Thranduil, and the Fiefdoms. Not long after, I was fortunate enough to find a small, yet eager to grow group at a local gaming store, Firefly Toys and Games in Columbia, SC.

Here I'll be posting my journey as I become more adept at the game, painting up the minis, figuring out this new 3D printer as I fabricate various terrain and landscapes to help make the battles that much more immersive.
